Barrhead care home praised by watchdog

An East Renfrewshire care home is celebrating after receiving a glowing report from inspectors.

The Firs in Barrhead was visited by the Care Inspectorate between July 15 and July 17 and the results of their assessment have now been published.
The Lowndes Street home, which is registered to provide care and support for up to 24 older people, was praised for being “warm and welcoming”.
Using a six-point scale where one is unsatisfactory and six is excellent, it was rated as a five meaning ‘very good’ for how well they support wellbeing and how good the setting is.
