Back-to-back wins for Clan

Glasgow Clan picked up maximum points in the Elite League at the weekend after back-to-back home wins.

The Purple Army secured a 3-2 win on Friday night over Cardiff Devils before beating Coventry Blaze 4-1 on Sunday evening.

Head Coach Corey Neilson believes the two wins were down to his side working hard while in possession of the puck and out of it.

Since the start of the month, the Braehead outfit have picked up five wins from six games with the only loss coming against Guildford Flames.

Speaking after Sunday's match against Blaze, Neilson said: “It was a hell of a start!

“The guys came out [fast] and we played the puck very quickly out of the neutral zone.

“Four quick goals in the first period and we may have then let off the gas in the second period.

“We were very professional in the third [period].
