Baby boxes making 'a real difference'

A Renfrewshire MSP has praised the Scottish Government's baby box scheme as it marks its eighth anniversary.
-
Launched in 2017, the scheme entitles every newborn in Scotland to a box containing clothes, bedding, nappies and other necessities, with an estimated value of around £429.
And new figures show 88,136 boxes have been handed out in the NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde area.
Tom Arthur MSP said: “More than 350,000 babies have received baby boxes from this SNP government - including 88,136 here in the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde area.
