Stray dog census in state on cards

A fresh census of stray dogs will be conducted in Odisha soon, Fisheries and Animal Resoure-es Development (F&ARD) Minister Gokulananda Mallik said Saturday.
Addressing media in the City, the F&ARD Minister said as per the recent direction of the Supreme Court, the Odisha government would soon start sterilisation and vaccination of around seven lakh stray dogs in the state.
He said the state government would implement the guidelines laid down by the Supreme Court in letter and spirit.
