State saw 3,486 cybercrime cases in last 16 months: CM

During the period, 727 persons were arrested for their involvement in cybercrimes and chargesheets have been filed in 104 such cases, Majhi, who holds the Home portfolio, said
Odisha witnessed 3,486 cybercrime cases in the last 16 months, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi told the Assembly Monday.
Responding to a question of Congress member Rama Chandra Kadam, Majhi, who holds the Home portfolio, said, “The state has recorded a total of 3,486 cybercrime cases in the last 16 months. There were 69 'digital arrest' cases during the period.”
