Odia actress Sonalli shines at SRFF, bags Best Actress trophy

Sonali Sharmistha Mohanty, an Odia actress working across multiple Indian languages, has recently been honoured with the Best Actress award at the New York-based Socially Relevant Film Festival (SRFF) for her performance in the Magahi feature film Swaha — In the Name of Fire.

Directed by Abhilash Sharma, the film also won the Best Narrative Feature Film award at the event.

Reacting to her recent success, Sonali said, “I feel this achievement is not just a personal milestone but also a proud moment for Odisha, as it showcases our talent on the world stage.”
