Indoor environment conditions contribute greatly to human wellbeing as most people spend around 90 per cent of their time indoors, mainly at home or in the workplace.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), indoor air pollution is responsible for 3.8 million premature deaths annually.
Activities inside houses (or buildings) like cooking, smoking, and use of incense sticks, mosquito repellents and room fresheners contribute to indoor air pollution by releasing pollutants like carbon monoxide, volatile organic compounds, particulate matter, aerosol and biological pollutants.
