As the country marked Mother's Day with flowers, gifts, and warm embraces, a quieter but deeply touching celebration unfolded at a rehabilitation centre in Bhubaneswar — far from cozy homes, within the walls of Odisha Patita Udhar Samiti (OPUS).
Here, elderly women, abandoned by their own children, found comfort and companionship. Organised by OPUS at its Andharua centre, the event offered cake, songs, small gifts, and heartfelt conversations — a brief return of the love they once gave so freely.
