Birla bats for Ambedkar's Constitutional principles

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla Friday said that steps are being taken to ensure justice for Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and other backward classes (OBCs) in social and economic spheres, based on the principles of the Constitution envisioned by Dr BR Ambedkar.

Inaugurating the two-day National Conference of Chairpersons and Members of Parliamentary and State/ UT Committees on the Welfare of SCs and STs, Birla said the progress achieved by these communities so far has been possible due to the continuous suggestions, observations, and supervision of these committees.
