Locals asked to decide on £20m in funding

LOCALS are being asked to help decide what the £20m funding available to Bedworth should be spent on.

The town is one of 75 areas across the country chosen to be given up to £20m in government funding.

However, the funding is not given in just one lump sum. Bids have to be made to pay for projects that aim to ‘turbocharge’ the town centre. These bids have to be made through a specially setup Bedworth group, known as the ‘Believe in Bedworth’ board and it is asking residents to be part of this process. A consultation has been launched to gain locals’ views.

Local charity Warwickshire Community and Voluntary Action (CAVA) is carrying out the community consultation.
