JUDGE 'QUITE SATISFIED' SHE WAS TRYING TO PROTECT HER FAMILY
A WOMAN stabbed her former partner “in frustration” after he turned up to see their children.
Nottingham Crown Court heard how “something happened in the house” to make Lisa Summerfield, of Carlton, pick up the knife and use it on her ex.
The hearing heard how the 42-year-old’s victim needed a blood transfusion and says he has lost his job as a consequence of what took place.
Imposing a two-year community order on Summerfield, Judge Stuart Rafferty KC said: “To say you have had a difficult life is something of an understatement. I have read in great detail what is said about you and I am not going to embarrass you by airing it in open court as it is not fair.
But it is equally fair to say your relationship with (the victim) has not been a happy one for a number of reasons.
