Victor: I thought Brazil call was 'scam'

NOTTINGHAM Forest goalkeeper John Victor was convinced it was a 'scam' when he received a message telling him he had been called up to the Brazil national team.

The summer signing was a late inclusion to Carlo Ancelotti's squad for this month's friendlies, following an injury to former Manchester City stopper Ederson. He was on the way to last Sunday's game away to Newcastle United with the Reds when he received the news and initially believed it to be a joke.

Even now, Forest man Victor is still having to pinch himself at the opportunity in front of him. He has represented his country at youth level but being part of the senior setup is the realisation of a lifelong dream.
