Top Wighay homes on the way

THE first houses forming part of a new 800-home village could be ready to move into by next spring.
Initial planning permission was first given in April 2021 for the Top Wighay development near Hucknall, which Nottinghamshire County Council estimates will boost the economy by £873m over the coming decade.
The development is based off Annesley Road on former farmland which was first purchased by the county council in the 1950s. The wider project already houses the council’s new Oak House headquarters, and will also be home to a new skills academy and primary school.
