Tom is aiming to cap happy loan spell with team glory

LIKE seasons gone by, Notts County have hung their hat on one or two standout loan players to push the team forward and Tom Iorpenda has been one of those this term.

The young, versatile central midfield player has enjoyed a senior role in Martin Paterson's selection, having joined on loan from League One outfit Huddersfield Town last summer, with last Saturday's defeat against Grimsby Town being his 31st League Two start of the campaign.

He has settled into a more advanced position in the Magpies setup more recently, having previously filled in at a deeper role, showing his adaptability at a young age with little prior senior football experience.

The Magpies are vying for promotion this term but, on an individual level, Iorpenda has already got a lot out of the move and hopes to top that with team glory.

“I’m enjoying the experience on a personal level,” said the Huddersfield loanee.
