ATTACKER SPRAYED CS GAS IN DOORMEN'S FACES AFTER FELLING HIS VICTIM WITH SINGLE PUNCH

A UNIVERSITY student fractured a man's skull when he knocked him unconscious with a single punch and then "swaggered about" dishing out more street violence.

Shocking CCTV footage played at Nottingham Crown Court showed James Mulla landing a savage blow to the victim's face in Broad Street.

While other revellers went to help the 51-year-old father on the ground, the then 19-year-old attacker sprayed CS gas in the faces of others.

Now the would-be clothing designer and social media filmmaker is tasting custody for the first time at 22.

Jailing Mulla for 23 months, Recorder Luke Blackburn said: "This was part of a sustained incident of public disorder.

"After knocking him to the floor with a single blow you were swaggering about seeking further confrontation looking for trouble while your victim was yards away unconscious.
