Step back in time at canalside cottage museum

THE Canalside Heritage Centre, in Beeston Rylands, is holding an Open Day to celebrate the opening of their 1842 Cottage museum.
-
An immersive new visitor experience will allow people to step back in time to find out more about living and working by the canal in Victorian times.
The event takes place on Saturday, July 19, from 11am to 4pm.
The centre's new interactive display features the life of Martha Rice and her family, who lived in the cottages from 1842.
