Stalker Belfield hit with temporary YouTube ban

YOUTUBE has temporarily banned Alex Belfield's channel from uploading videos to the site after the Post highlighted another breach of its rules.

The former BBC presenter, who is shortly set to be released from prison, will be prevented from having any content posted to his channel for a fortnight.

The most recent video to have flouted YouTube rules again contained a smear against the judge who oversaw the trial which convicted Belfield of stalking.

YouTube operates a three strikes system for accounts breaching its rules and the site had already issued a first strike against Belfield's 'Voice of Reason' channel.

A second strike has now been issued and if there are no further issues, videos can again be uploaded to Belfield's channel after two weeks.

If a third strike ends up being issued within 90 days from the first one, Belfield's channel could be permanently removed from YouTube.

Belfield was jailed in September 2022 over a campaign of stalking which saw him target two BBC presenters, a videographer and a theatre blogger.
