Special trio heading for railway's winter gala

RAILWAY enthusiasts will have a chance to see historic locomotives steaming through the countryside next week.

Great Central Railway will hold its annual Winter Steam Gala from Thursday until Sunday, with visitors expected from all over the country.
The railway says it will be an “action-packed four-day event” with steam-hauled passenger and goods trains, the usual lineup from the GCR home fleet, and three visiting locomotives.
