Shoplifter stole goods worth £2,250 in three-week spree

A REPEAT Nottinghamshire shoplifter has been arrested after stealing more than £2,250 worth of items from supermarkets, shops, and retailers over a three-week period.

Andrew Wimbledon’s one-man crime spree ended after he entered the B&M store on Green Lane, in Clifton, on September 1.

The known offender walked into the shop at around 2.22pm and brazenly took three bottles of alcohol from the shelves without paying. Police were called soon after and, eight minutes later, arrested Wimbledon, who was already known due to 13 other shoplifting incidents.
