THREE ARRESTS AFTER BUS STOPS AND DOZENS OF CARS DAMAGED
RESIDENTS in a city suburb and a Nottinghamshire village have spoken of their shock after their car windows were smashed in an alleged BB gun attack.
The string of incidents, which neighbours claim have damaged around 80 cars in total, took place between Wednesday and yesterday in various areas across Nottinghamshire.
This included Seely Avenue in Calverton and Beckhampton Road in Bestwood, but the windows of Oxclose Police Station have also reportedly been damaged.
Williams Adusei, 55, was about to go to work on Thursday when he realised his car had been damaged. The taxi driver's car was parked in Seely Avenue when the incident occurred overnight.
Mr Adusei said: "I saw some smashed glass on the floor but didn't realise it was from my window at first. I sat down and then I heard some noise again and realised my window had been broken. I reported it straight away and police saw them [the offenders] on CCTV.
"I didn't see who did it. I was very shocked. How, why? I checked inside the car and there was no other damage and nothing had been stolen. I don't know why they did this. I can't go to work.
"They stopped me from working yesterday until I get the car fixed."
Mr Adusei was one of three people affected on Seely Avenue.
