Prison term for member of shoplifting gang that targeted Boots stores

AT LEAST 10 OTHERS INVOLVED IN £14K NATIONWIDE THEFT SPREE

A SERIAL shoplifter stole more than £14,000 of perfume from Boots branches across the country in a seven-month theft spree.

Nottingham Crown Court heard Nicoli Fruntasi, of Bulwell, was part of an organised crime group which roamed around the UK targeting branches of the chemist chain.

Shops at Sheffield Meadowhall, and in Nottingham, Stoke, Harrogate, Leeds, Kings Lynn, Boston, Worksop and Cheltenham, were all targeted by the defendant and his gang.

But the 27-year-old dad-of-two is the only one to be caught, charged and put before the courts so far.

The hearing was told police believe at least 10 others are involved.
