Plea to parents over 'tram surf' attention seekers

NOTTINGHAM'S tram operator has issued a warning against the “potentially fatal” TikTok trend of “tram surfing” and urged parents to take action to help stop it.
Videos of young people clinging to the back of Nottingham's trams have been viewed by thousands on the social media app in recent weeks.
Nottingham Express Transit (NET) issued a warning after a boy was filmed on the back of a tram going past the Hyson Green Market stop last Thursday.
However, two further videos of the worrying trend have now surfaced on TikTok, one of which shows two young boys hanging from the rear of a tram near Nottingham station.
The other shows an older boy holding on to a tram that has seemingly just left the Noel Street tram stop in Hyson Green.
