Park swing swiped in 'mindless act'

A COUNCIL will have to fork out £2,000 to replace a swing that was stolen from a park.

The “mindless act” saw the removal of a large basket swing and its chains from Queen Elizabeth Park, also known as Fairfield Park, in Stapleford.
The exact date of the theft is unclear, although it is believed to have been around Tuesday, October 22.
