MAGPIES ACCUSED OF 'DISRESPECTING' HAYDN GREEN'S LEGACY
PLANS to rename a Notts County stand dedicated to former lifelong fan Hadyn Green have been branded "disgraceful".
Since 2007, the Haydn Green Family Stand - named after the man who saved the club from liquidation in 2003 has been a feature at the Meadow Lane ground.
Alongside investing millions into the Magpies, Green bought the lease on the ground before he died in 2007, ensuring the team had a home for hundreds of years.
Notts County has now unveiled plans to rename the stand after energy company Green Shift, the Magpies' newest sponsor.
