New keeper Roos keen to have a hand in helping Magpies on and off pitch

DUTCH STOPPER WOULD ‘LOVE’ TO HELP OUT WITH LEADERSHIP

KELLE Roos feels at home in the East Midlands as he returns to take the gloves at Notts County after time in Scotland and Italy.

The Dutch stopper came through at Derby County and was a regular feature for their first team for a few years before moving on to Aberdeen and then a short stint in Italy with Serie C outfit Triestina.

The 33-year-old is now back in a region he is very familiar with, hoping to bring experience to the goalkeeper position at a club pushing for the big honours.

He said: “I’m really grateful that a club of this stature, and with such a large and passionate fanbase, wants to work together with me, and I've got a great feeling about the whole place.

“Everyone I've met so far is pulling in the same direction - and that’s the sort of environment I want to be part of, where everybody's performing to the best of their abilities and growing together.
