SONOS MAKES SOME NOISE AGAIN
THINGS have been a little quiet for Sonos - maker of a fine range of high-quality connected speakers.
In 2024 the company released a new app to control its audio systems and I think it’s fair to say it turned out to be poorly received.
The fallout that followed was consequential for the company from top to bottom with reduced revenues leading to multiple rounds of layoffs for the company’s staff and the eventual departure of the CEO that was running the company at the time, Patrick Spence.
In the intervening years things have stabilised under new CEO Tom Conrad, who originally took up the post on an interim basis but was named the permanent boss in the middle of last year... saying the company was ready to put the past behind it and move into a new era.
That new era has arrived
