CORONER RULES DEATH OF 35-YEAR-OLD AS ACCIDENTAL

A MAN died in a house fire which was caused by a toaster, an inquest has found.

Daniel McLaughlin was pronounced dead at the scene of the blaze in Wigwam Grove, Hucknall in the early hours of November 4 last year.

Firefighters attended the house fire shortly after 12.53am following a call from the 35-year-old’s neighbour who could smell smoke.

An investigation found the source of the blaze was a toaster in the kitchen, with assistant Coroner Simon Burge ruling Mr McLaughlin's death as accidental at an inquest held in Nottingham.
