Man, 54, is found guilty of sexually abusing boy

A MAN has been found guilty of carrying out sex acts on a young boy.

After a four-day trial at Nottingham Crown Court, a jury of nine men and three women took more than five hours to unanimously convict Graham Occleshaw of four counts of sexual assault of a child aged under 13 and one count of inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity.

The 54-year-old, of Bulwell, showed little emotion when the verdicts were delivered yesterday.

Recorder Stuart Sprawson adjourned the sentencing hearing until June 13. Remanding him into custody, he said: “Mr Occleshaw, you have been convicted by a jury and you are going to receive a lengthy prison sentence consisting of years and not months. But before I make the final decision I am going to adjourn for a pre-sentence report.”
