SUSPENDED SENTENCE FOR DEFENDER'S RULE BREACH
NOTTS County defender Lewis Macari has been sanctioned with a suspended three-month ban from football for breaking the FA’s betting rules.
Macari pleaded guilty to the FA’s charges after placing 354 bets between February 2020 and December 2022, before he joined the Magpies.
The ban is suspended, so the 23-year-old will not have to serve it as long as he does not break the same betting rules again in the next 12 months. The sanction also includes a fine.
