Green light for improvement works on A52 roundabouts

“PIVOTAL” works to reduce journey times on the A52 will take place from next year on two major Nottingham roundabouts.

The plans, which were finally given the go-ahead by the Secretary of State following a public inquiry, will improve the capacity of the Wheatcroft and Nottingham Knight roundabouts.

The layout of the junctions will be enlarged, with a cut-through installed in the middle of the islands connecting the A52 to help reduce journey times. Other work will include installing new signals and improving pedestrian routes with the installation of crossings.
