A NOTTINGHAM grandfather and dad-of-three who bought class A drugs in kilo quantities during the pandemic has been jailed for more than a decade.
Nottingham Crown Court heard how Jordan Serrant used secret Encrochat phones to organise the purchase of heroin and cocaine through a broker who had the handle “Rusty Tiger”.
The 42-year-old then drove to Liverpool and Bradford and sent an accomplice to London to pick up the large quantities of illegal substances for onward sale to street users.
Sending him to prison for 10 years and four months, Judge Julie Warburton said: “We are talking about several trips to various locations following on from conversations between you and essentially a go-between and wholesale suppliers of class A drugs. On each of those occasions you either travelled or sent someone else to collect the drugs.
