Children In Need is back. MARION McMULLEN looks at the Super Six who will be presenting on the big night as well as the special sketches we can expect

RAPPER and TV personality Big Zuu, Paddy McGuinness, Mel Giedroyc, Vernon Kay, Rochelle Humes and Am I Being Unreasonable? actor Lenny Rush are all ready for Children in Need.

They will be hosting the coverage of the fundraising event on BBC1 on Friday from MediaCityUK in Salford and hoping it will be a record-breaking night.

Big Zuu is joining the presenting team for the first time and brings firsthand experience of youth work to the show.

He says: “After studying youth work at university and working as a youth worker earlier in my career, I know how crucial it is for young people to have a trusted adult that they can talk to who believes in them and the power this can have in helping unlock their potential.

“So, joining the lineup to present the iconic BBC Children in Need is a dream come true.

“I love live television, and I promise to bring energy and something fresh to this year’s appeal night so that we can help raise money for some incredible causes.”

The evening will be packed with sketches from BBC favourites including The Apprentice, DIY SOS and Gladiators.

The Apprentice will see the tables turned on Lord Sugar as he faces a boardroom grilling from a tough new set of junior apprentices.

Viewers will also get an exclusive taster of the highly anticipated festive episodes of The Celebrity Apprentice, in which 12 famous candidates create festive biscuits for Children in Need.
