Foxes first as Notts return to third tier with a screen test

NOTTS County will begin their return to League One with a home clash against relegated Leicester City.

The Magpies will host the Foxes in just over seven weeks time at Meadow Lane on Saturday, August 15 in a game that will be screened live on Sky Sports with a 12.30pm kick-off.
It will be Notts’ first third-tier fixture since 2015 and their first League fixture against the Foxes for more than 30 years, with the Magpies claiming a 4-1 home victory in their previous meeting in March 1994.
The Foxes are back in League One for the first time since 2009, having won the Premier League a decade ago.
Martin Paterson’s Magpies hit the road for their first away game of the campaign against Luton Town the following weekend, before they round off the opening month with a home clash against Burton Albion on August 29.
