Former Hoods' player Amari is with Celtics after NBA draft

NOTTINGHAM-BORN Amari Williams has been drafted into the NBA by the Boston Celtics after being chosen as the 46th overall pick.
-
The 23-year-old becomes the first British player drafted since Jeremy Sochan in 2022 and he was initially taken by the Orlando Magic before immediately being traded to the Celtics.
He is heading to won of the most storied franchises in American sports as the Celtics have won the most championships of any team in the league at 18.
