Fears that village is being turned into a town

FEARS have been expressed that a Nottinghamshire village is being turned into town after plans for thousands of new homes were revealed.
Developer Vistry has brought forward plans for 164 houses off Hollowdyke Lane in the village of Fernwood, near Newark. It has asked for permission to build the new properties off a large plot of land south of the village, where a total of 350 homes are being built. Larkfleet (Alison Homes) are currently building the other half of the housing development.
