Father sold Class A drugs to provide for his daughter

A FATHER dealt heroin and crack cocaine for extra money so he could provide for his two-year-old daughter.
Nottingham Crown Court heard how Jake Chapman was twice caught with drugs and cash during separate police raids at his New Basford home months apart from each other.
On the second occasion officers carried out a warrant at the 26-year-old’s Radford Road address and found more than £2,200 in cash as well as wraps of Class A drugs.
The defendant, who left school aged 14 and turned to illegal substances from a young age, has been jailed for three years and nine months.
Judge Stuart Rafferty KC said: "I accept what your barrister says that you were dealing to a relatively small group of people and that those people were all experienced users of drugs like yourself.
