Business park plans 'unwelcome' despite promise of new jobs

LOSS OF GREEN BELT AND INCREASE IN TRAFFIC HIGHLIGHTED
A PROPOSED business park has come under fire, despite job prospects and potential benefits to the local economy.
The Nuthall Park 26 project is in the early stages of planning, with the application yet to be validated.
But politicians are already hesitant to support the plans due to the impact of removing some of Nottingham's green belt.
The joint venture between Peveril Securities and the Omnivale Pension Scheme aims to develop a section of land off Low Wood Road, Nuthall, and estimates that 1,525 new jobs will be created.
The proposals include 106,000 sq m of new employment floorspace, mainly comprising warehousing and logistics facilities.
