Birds' cream cake fans will be tickled pink by new elephant's foot

IT'S a favourite with customers across the East Midlands - now Birds Bakery has introduced a new version of its famous elephant's foot.

The choux bun, topped with chocolate and filled with cream, has been part of the pastry range for decades.

Two years ago, Birds bowed to public opinion, changing what it referred to as a cream puff, to an elephant's foot, the name by which customers have called it for years. At the time, a baby version was launched too.
