Bike shop to the rescue of round-the-world rider

A BUSINESS has come to the rescue of a biker whose round-the-world trip was interrupted when his motorcycle was stolen in Nottingham.

Yogesh Alekari's KTM machine, along with all of his gear and passport, was stolen from Wollaton Park on August 28, 15,000 miles into his epic journey.

The content creator was inundated with messages of support after the news went viral on social media.

But now a Mansfield Woodhouse garage has stepped in and given him a replacement bike to spur him on in his last leg to Africa.

The Off Road Centre has donated an upgraded version of his stolen bike, a KTM 790. After travelling from Mumbai through 17 countries, the theft of £15,000 worth of gear left him devastated.

But the generous donation now means that Yogesh can get back on the road within the next month.
