Campaigner launches SEND lifeline to help families 'failed by system'

A DEDICATED lifeline has been established to stop vulnerable children falling through the cracks of a failing system.
North Devon MP Ian Roome helps draw the raffle during the recent community launch event
SEND the Help, a newly established community interest company, aims to bridge the gap between need and provision for young people currently unable to access mainstream education.
The organisation is the brainchild of Grace Brown, who drew on both lived experience as a parent and professional background in safeguarding to launch the project. Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, the group is already delivering support for those facing mental health barriers and unmet needs.
"Increasing numbers of children in our area are unable to access mainstream education, often for months or years at a time.
