4 local girls set sights on playing for SWD

Four girls from the Mossel Bay area are part of two rugby A groups, from which a selection will be made for the South Western District (SWD) U18 and U16 girls' rugby squads.
The three U18 girls played in Albertinia last week, at a regional rugby festival for girls. They were invited as part of the George regional team, says SA Rugby's Samuel Oktober, who is head coach at the Youth Training Centre (YTC) at SWD Rugby in George.
Oktober said: "The festival in Albertinia was a platform for talent identification for the coaches. The George regional team played against the Hessequa regional team."
