Above 97% of ₹2k notes returned: RBI

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Wednesday said that more than 97% of the ₹2,000 bank notes have been returned to the banking system and about ₹10,000 crore worth of the notes are still with the public.

On 19 May, the RBI announced the withdrawal of ₹2,000 denomination bank notes from circulation.
