Ticket prices for destinations within the country are already up 10-15% over last year
ir travellers planning getaways during the peak summer months of May and June should brace for higher fares, with domestic fares already up by 10-15% compared to last year, according to data from travel portal EaseMyTrip.
Volatile aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices and supply-side constraints are pushing domestic airfares skyward, with average ticket costs between major cities and popular holiday destinations seeing a 10-12% year-on-year rise in June. Domestic airfare in May are up 10-15% from a year ago.
