The bench said Shah was 'testing the court's patience' and cast doubt on his intentions
NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Monday reprimanded Madhya Pradesh Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah for failing to publicly apologise over his remarks directed at Indian Army officer Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, warning that his actions were "testing the court's patience".
A bench comprising Justice Surya Kant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi voiced concern over Shah's conduct, saying it raised questions about the authenticity of his intentions. "What do you mean by an apology like this? He made the statement on the first date itself.
We are talking about a public apology. Where is it on record? He is testing our patience," the bench remarked.
