Mamta Kulkarni renounces worldly life, becomes Mai Mamta Nand Giri

After enthralling her fans, film lovers and audience in various roles and characters she played, actor Mamta Kulkarni on Friday announced that she has formally embarked on a spiritual journey by renaming herself as "Mai Mamta Nand Giri Daan."

In a statement, the UP government said in the ongoing Uttar Pradesh government Maha Kumbh, Kulkarni took sanyas in the Kinnar Akhara and then she got a new name "Mai Mamta Nand Giri Daan".
After performing 'Pind Daan', the 'patnibhaskara' (consccration ceremony) was performed in her Kinnar Akhara.
