Rains to persist throughout the week in parts of PH - PAGASA

Rains may affect Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon due to the southwest monsoon, while scattered showers brought by the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) may prevail over some areas in Mindanao, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Sunday, June 22.

PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina said there is currently no Low-Pressure Area (LPA) inside or near the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), and the likelihood of a tropical cyclone forming in the coming days remains low.

However, Badrina noted that a high chance of rain, particularly in the afternoon and evening, is expected to persist throughout the week across several parts of the country.
