Police forces in Bicol put on alert amid Mayon's rumbling

Police forces in Albay and nearby areas were put on alert for possible disaster response amid the increasing unrest of the Mayon Volcano.
Police Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez, Jr., acting chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), said his instruction was to put on alert a sufficient number of policemen so that they could immediately respond to any eventuality, including possible preemptive evacuation, especially those living near the volcano.
