The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) announced that Pasay City and San Juan City emerged with the highest basic and fundamental literacy rate, respectively, among highly urbanized cities in the Philippines in 2024.
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) announced that Pasay City scored the highest basic literacy rate of 96.2 percent among the highly urbanized cities in the Philippines for the year 2024.
Based on PSA's 2024 Functional Literacy, Education and Mass Media Survey (FLEMMS) report, Pasay City scored 96.2 percent in basic literacy, or the ability of a person to read and write a simple message with understanding, and to compute or perform basic mathematical operations.
