New Australian envoy to Manila named

Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong has named Marc Innes-Brown as the new ambassador to the Philippines.

The announcement was made on July 6 by the Australian Foreign Ministry.

Innes-Brown will replace Australian Ambassador to Manila Hae Kyong Yu who has completed her tour of duty.

“Mr. Innes-Brown is a senior career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and was most recently First Assistant Secretary, Middle East and Africa Division,” Wong said.

He was Australian Ambassador to Türkiye, Iran, and Iraq, and was posted in Thailand and the United States.
