Meralco eyes JV with Batangas coop

Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) has reinstated its interest in addressing the power situation in Batangas province, as the company welcomes partnerships or a joint venture (JV) with the province’s electric cooperative (EC).
In a briefing with Meralco executives, Ronnie L. Aperocho, executive vice president and chief operating officer (COO), said that they are exploring options to partner with Batangas Electric Cooperative (Batelec) to help address the looming power strains in the area.
